Getting Better

Well, I feel like I am doing a little better, but PMS has the best of me this week. This month I am more crazy mad, irritated, just plain miserable and I feel terribly bad for 9 and 6. I do not have the patience right now to deal with their normal boy things like bickering, wrestling, and horsing around. I'm sure my husband is so thankful that he's at work for the good part of the day and not having to put up with me for long periods of time. But as any good husband, today he will be bring home some yummy treats for me that sometimes a must when Aunt Flo is on her way ~ Chocolate! See's candy! Three pounds if I'm lucky or shall I say if my whole family is lucky! Last night I had to slowly savor my crispy chocolate bunny from Easter to tied me over. Tonight will definitely be better!

So my sweet hubby is helping to bring back structure to my life by leaving little "To Do" list's this week. It's like a breath of fresh air actually having part of my day planned out for me. I know it's sounds probably a little pathetic, but for whatever reason I am too overwhelmed myself to come up with a plan. He's starting out small which I can truly appreciate and which will eventually lead up to me unpacking. I also broached the subject last night about us possibly having a yard sale once I have made more progress with the unpacking and the purging of things in hopes of bring in a little extra money to help on the home front. We have been pretty bad and have not been sticking to our budget and falling back into old bad habits, mainly eating out a lot, and that's not good! My unemployment will be running out soon, and that money certainly would of helped us in the long run. All we can do is get back on course and pray for the best. I have been very good about not shopping though. I have not made any daily trips to the thrift stores and made my last purchase on ebay a couple weeks ago. So that's a positive! Also our taxes seem to be working out even with the Short Sale of our home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is true and that we ARE getting a refund. I won't believe it until I see it!

My bestie and her family came out on Saturday for lunch and some exploration around the cabin! It was such a nice visit. The kids played football with besties hubby, and her and I walked around while she took pictures of trees and even two deer who ventured out down the river. We were like 250 ft away from the deer! Her camera is amazing! She told me about some of the trees, bushes, and flowers around the cabin and we even saw a garden snake! EECK! Kind of freaked me out a bit, but she said they are harmless and her mom has one that visits her regularly in her own garden. We've made plans to have a camp out this summer with them all ~ tents and everything! I can't wait!

  2. Hope you start to feel better soon! I think it is something about these last months though...I can't put my finger on it, but everyone I have talked to has been in the same sort of funk.
